Calendar

Ease of Use

Capturing a date for your application has never been easier. Using a date picker or calendar simplifies the process of capturing either single or multiple dates.

Two Components

The calendar control is completely decoupled from the date picker control; this means you actually receive two separate components to use in your applications. The decoupling ensures developers are free to combine multiple calendars into complex components without worrying about affecting the date picker.

Multple Date Selection

The calendar allows the user to capture either single or multiple dates with ease. In multiple selection mode, clicking a cell once will select it, while clicking it a second time will remove the selection.

Internationalizable

Both the date picker and calendar are locale and time zone sensitive, thereby giving your developers the ability to build applications that make sense to all users, regardless of where they are in the world. The starting day of the week and the logic relating to which days form a weekend are easily configured.

Business Rules

The rules regarding whether a date may be selected reside in the calendar’s model and not in the control. This allows developers to build complex business rules that can be applied to any date picker or calendar.

Apply Your Own Style

The flexible design of the calendar and date picker gives you the ability to customize the look of the calendar to fit any application. The use of cell renderers and painters in the overall design means that customizing the control is extremely easy to do.

Simple Code

Integrating or customizing the calendar or date picker is easy due to the simple, decoupled design of the component.
